Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in India to use UBT Pay. You are responsible for the accuracy of the mobile number, consumer numbers and KYC documents you submit, and for keeping your password confidential. Activity performed through your credentials is treated as your own.

2. Nature of the service

UBT Pay is a payment facilitation platform. We transmit payment instructions to billers, aggregators and payment partners. We do not set biller tariffs, bill amounts, late fees or disconnection policies, and we are not the supplier of the underlying utility service.

3. Wallet and KYC

• The wallet is a prepaid balance usable only for services offered on the platform.
• Wallet-funded bill payments require a verified KYC status.
• Wallet balances do not earn interest and are not transferable between users.
• We may temporarily hold or reverse credits arising from error, fraud or chargeback.

4. Payments and confirmation

A payment is complete only when the biller or aggregator confirms it. Where a debit succeeds but confirmation fails, the amount is reversed to your wallet in line with the refund policy. You must verify the consumer number before confirming — payments made to an incorrect but valid consumer number may not be recoverable.

5. Cashback, rewards and referrals

• Cashback rules, caps and minimum amounts are shown before payment and may change.
• Reward points convert at the published rate of 10 points to Rs. 1 of wallet cashback.
• Referral rewards are credited only after the referred person registers, completes KYC and makes a first successful bill payment.
• Rewards obtained through abuse, duplicate accounts or automation may be revoked.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use UBT Pay for money laundering, commercial resale of payment services, circumventing biller limits, automated scraping, or any activity prohibited by Indian law. We may suspend accounts pending investigation of suspicious activity.

7. Fees

Wallet-funded bill payments carry no platform convenience fee. Gateway charges applicable to card, UPI or netbanking transactions are displayed before you confirm a payment.

8. Service availability

Services depend on biller and banking systems and may be unavailable during maintenance or partner downtime. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for late-payment penalties caused by third-party outages or by payments initiated close to a due date.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the transaction amount in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time after withdrawing or exhausting your wallet balance. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, fraud, or regulatory direction.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at our registered office location.
